Nevada gets ready to open up the MWC Championship

Reno, NV -- Nevada (24-30, 11-19 MW) will play in its first Mountain West Championship starting Wednesday night at 7 p.m. versus Fresno State (21-31, 14-16 MW).  The 2013 MW Championship is being hosted at Fresno State’s Pete Beiden Field from May 22-26.  The winner of the double elimination championship receives the MW’s automatic bid the NCAA Championship.
        Ace Braden Shipley gets the nod for the Pack.  Last time Shipley faced the Bulldogs, he pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up one hit and striking out 10.
