Are some of these mothers on drugs that the doctors aren't looking into? There could be a variance of reasons. Are the women in a cluster area?

Has anybody ever looked into seeing that these numbers are so high because of all the C-Section Happy Doctors that want to schedule the birth and make money off the C-section instead of waiting for a natural delivery?

What would be interesting would be make a comparison of how many of these premature births are happening to teenage mothers. I would be willing to bet there is a direct co-relation. We need to educate young girls better about pregnancy and birth control ... and also about child care. Rememeber 1 other fact in OUR state .... many young women are employed by casinos and the exposure to 2nd hand smoke may also be a factor ... just some observations from a "lay" person.
