CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Nevadans are invited to attend the Battle Born Birthday Cake Celebration taking place at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center on Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A signature Nevada 150 event, the festivities will commemorate the 150th anniversary of when President Lincoln signed an act passed by Congress enabling the Nevada Territory to write a constitution, which was Nevada's first step toward statehood. Pictured here is Nevada's centennial birthday cake celebration from 1964.

Along with the public, those in the community whose birthday falls on October 31 are invited to attend the event, grab a piece of cake and take a photo at 3:30 p.m. with all other shared birthday attendees at the historic event.
