CARSON CITY, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV) -- Over 150 years ago, Nevada had several Pony Express stations, and to this day has the most original trail unpaved and preserved in place.

Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki will be joined by members of the Nevada Sesquicentennial Commission to hand off eight letters to the Pony Express riders on the south steps of the Nevada State Capitol building.

The NPEA's 35th annual re-ride will honor the historic Pony Express route covering nearly 2,000 miles between California and Missouri over 10 days.
