Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) – A local brewery has a new beer on tap and it’s all about Nevada and helping our community.

“There were more businesses interested in having Nevada Beer than we could supply,” says Michael Tragash, Yelp Reno Community Manager.

As Under the Rose Brewing Company continues to build its name in the community many local bar and restaurant owners are excited to sell the product, especially the latest brew.

“Nevada Beer is an amber beer with an aromatic hop of cimtra simcoe with sage and juniper tea infused at the end to give it a local flavor,” says Scott Emond, Owner/Brewer at Under the Rose Brewing Company.

So, why make Nevada Beer? Scott Emond says says it’s all about the community, “This is why we started this company, is to help the community and make beer good and so it’s actually taking shape now, so it’s a dream come true.”

Starting on July 21st a dollar from each pint sold of Nevada Beer will benefit Volunteers of America, the nonprofit group helping our area’s homeless population and The Generator, an inclusive art space in Reno.

The event is called “Yelp’s on Tap” and it’s truly a community effort, “We got artists to make tap handles, we got Yelp to promote it and source what kind of ingredients we were going to throw in. We did some social media stuff to ask consumers what they wanted in a beer and so it truly is Nevada beer,” says Scott Emond.

Jordan Needham the local artist who designed and made the beer tap handles for Nevada Beer says, “It’s amazing, it’s perfect right on the beginning, doesn’t kick too much and it’s got some really nice juniper after taste.”
