CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Chad Westom has been named chief of the Bureau of Health Statistics, Planning, Epidemiology and Response within the Nevada Health Division.
He replaces Luana Ritch, who is now with the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Services.
Westom holds a bachelor's degree in environmental management from the University of Houston and is a registered environmental health specialist.
He previously was a manager within the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance, where he oversaw all complaint investigations, including those involving unlicensed physicians and facilities and illness outbreaks.
