RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 39-year-old woman who held a Reno SWAT team at bay for two hours has been arrested and charged as a fugitive after her earlier arrest on federal drug trafficking charges.

Karen Gale pleaded not guilty in federal court Thursday to a charge of failure to appear at a court appearance in March when her lawyer expected her to change her earlier not guilty pleas on drug charges. She was arrested Wednesday night and is being held without bail.

Gale and her boyfriend were among six people indicted last year as part of a drug ring accused of selling several pounds of methamphetamine in the area. A trooper found 2 pounds of meth in their car after a traffic stop on Interstate 80 just west of Reno in June 2012.
