COOPERSTOWN, NY (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Well, they're some of the biggest names in baseball history: Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Sammy Sosa, but for now, none of them will be in baseball's Hall of Fame, nor will any other player this year.

For the second time in four decades, no player received enough votes to be elected a candidate for induction in Cooperstown.

The closest? Longtime Houston Astro Craig Biggio fell 39 votes shy of nomination.

The results suggest the vast majority of writers felt players believed to use performance-enhancing drugs during their career should not be in the Hall of Fame.
