RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- The Nevada Department of Corrections reports that one of two inmates who walked away from their work detail on January 8 has been apprehended.

Inmate Dustin Cottiero has been captured, due to a multi-law enforcement agency street enforcement team effort, which included the Sparks Police Department, Reno Police Department, NDOC’s Northern Nevada Correctional Center staff and Inspector General’s Office.

Police officials say that Cottiero was found around 1 p.m. at Fourth and Sutro Streets. He is being booked into the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. No other details are available at this time.

Inmate Corey Gomez remains at large.

Agree with Steve. We NEED to deport and bar from re-entry. It is simply draining our law enforcement / prisons to keep feeding/housing/medicating illegals. If any citizenship is alleged, rather than spend the money to show fraudulent birth certificates and such JUST REVOKE ANY ALLEGED CITIZENSHIP and deport.
