One male dead after shots fired on Wewoka Way, Leon Drive

UPDATE - 6:30 - Washoe County Deputies say the vehicle of interest is a larger black SUV with tinted windows. It could be a Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade or similar model.

It might have had 22" rims.





--UPDATE 4:55PM--

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office tells News 4 that someone had called at 3 p.m. after reportedly hearing approximately 4 to 6 shots. The caller refused to identify his/herself but said that the shots took place 45 minutes prior, around 2:15 p.m.

First responders arrived at the scene at 3:15 p.m. and found a man dead in a vehicle. Deputies say that they have not confirmed that the man died from a gunshot wound and they have not identified him.

Deputies on scene found several spent shells on the scene and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office SWAT team is preparing to enter a residence on Wewoka Way to clear for investigators.

Deputy Armando Avina says multiple shots have been fired and one male is dead.

Children dropped off in the area will be picked up at Sun Valley Elementary School.
