FERNLEY, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- One woman is hospitalized after what officials say was a gang-related shooting at a residence in Fernley.

According to Lyon County Sheriff's Deputies, the residence was on Sixth Street at approximately midnight. Officials say paramedics transported one victim to a hospital in Reno with a non-life threatening injury.

Deputies say there was a party inside the house where an altercation between rival gang members started. The altercation moved outside the home, where the shooting took place. The suspects left the area in an unknown type of vehicle before Deputies arrived.

Officials say alcohol also appeared to be a factor in the shooting. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time. There were no other victims.

If anyone has additional information, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 577-5023 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

Lets lock of all these worthless piles of waste in a room and let them kill each other. Last one to survive goes to prison for murder.
