UPDATE - 3:15PM - One inmate was transported to Renown with stab wounds to the upper body, according to Nevada Department of Corrections. That inmate is said to be in stable condition. The other inmate involved was also transported for minor injuries.
Though no longer on lock down, the Department says they are still on "controlled movement" until further notice.
CARSON CITY, NEV. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)--A fight between inmates has sent a Carson City prison into lockdown and has left two with injuries.
News 4 has learned that the fight happened before 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Warm Springs Correctional Center. Prison officials say six inmates were involved and two were injured in the brawl but no corrections officers were hurt.
Officials say the lockdown is still in effect and will remain in effect until Warden Gregory Smith determines conditions are safe.
There is still no word on what started the fight.
News 4 has contacted Nevada Department of Corrections Public Information Officer Brian Connett and is awaiting a response.
