Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A local Military wife threw a joint baby shower for seven of her fellow Military mommies today, March 9th, 2013.
It took months of preparation and nearly two hundred businesses donated to the cause, so that six military moms to be, could have a baby shower of their own.
Organizer Farrah Brown says every woman deserves a baby shower.
The joint shower gave the mothers a chance to celebrate their pregnancies, but also get support from one another.
Brown says she knows how hard it is when your extended family is so far away and that's what inspired her to put this all together.
Staff Sergeant Timothy Brown was lucky enough to be home for the birth of his first two daughters, but expressed how important it is to remember that not everyone is as fortunate as he was.
The Browns say after today the Mommies to be won't have to buy anything but some clothes and a crib for their newborns.
Items donated included everything from diaper genies to crib mattresses.
Jessica Blasey who just had her daughter six months ago, and Jennifer Mineua say they are very appreciative of the Browns and all they did to make the shower happen.
Here's a link to the Facebook page Farrah started for the event. There are numerous unique baby companies you can find on the page that sent items for the shower.
