RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A rare stone is in the Biggest Little City, and it holds a Guinness World Record.

Guinness recognizes the Ophir Sapphire as the largest faceted sapphire in the world. It weighs more than 31,000 carats.

The entire Ophir Collection includes 40 rare gemstones, many of which are the largest known of their kind. The collection has eight other stones that hold a Guinness World Record.

The collection was on private display at the Peppermill on Friday, as part of a West Coast tour.
