RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A special luncheon will feature patriots and the K9s for Warriors Program on Tuesday. The Patriots’ Luncheon is an annual charity event scheduled as part of the Barracuda Championship, formerly Reno-Tahoe Open. This year’s featured charities will be the Veterans Guest House in Reno and K9s for Warriors.
Participants will hear a first-hand account from a solider whose life has been changed by his dog partner and the training they received through K9s for Warriors. The program supports valiant veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after returning from war zones around the world.
The Veterans Guest House and K9s for Warriors strive to help these brave soldiers lead normal lives again. The Guest House is a “home away from home” for United States military service veterans receiving medical treatment in the Reno-Sparks area.
The event will take place at the Air National Guard Base, near Reno-Tahoe International Airport, July 29 at 11:30 a.m.
For reservations, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
or call 775-322-3900. Tables of nine are $1,000, and the 10th person will be a member of the military. Individual tickets are $125 and proceeds from the Patriots’ Luncheon bill benefit the Veterans Guest House and K9s for Warriors.
