PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) — A 70-year-old Ohio man is dead after being struck by a pickup truck in Pahrump.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson says the crash happened a little before 7 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of State Route 160 and Calvada Boulevard.

Hixson says two men were crossing the road outside a marked crosswalk when one of them was hit by the Ford truck.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name has not yet been released. Troopers say he's from Galloway, in the Columbus area.

Hixson says the 57-year-old truck driver remained on scene.
