RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Pedro Martinez met with an Attorney General investigator for over an hour on Monday. The ousted Superintendent said he told the investigator what happened the day he was relieved of his duties.

"We went over our suit for the violations of the open meeting law," said Martinez. "We went over those facts."

When the Attorney General’s office receives a complaint, an attorney is assigned the case. The information is then reviewed and sent to an investigator. Once the investigation finishes, the case is sent back to the original attorney who decides to bring the case to court or not.

"It was clear to the investigator that there were several issues," said Martinez. "This is the beginning of the process."

Martinez and his lawyers are also amending one of the lawsuits filed last week. He wants to stop school board members from speaking out against him beyond his CPA status. "Make sure that they are on notice that they have not brought anything to us and they have not given me notice to any other issues."

A school district official on Monday said the "Superintendent Contract" agenda item has not yet been rescheduled. It has been pulled from this week’s school board meeting after Martinez filed a lawsuit regarding the agenda item.

Martinez said the school district has not notified him they plan on discussing his contract.

Do the public a favor, Concerned Mom, and know about the case before posting such silliness. Your district and board are corrupt and inept, and their actions are going to cost taxpayers a ton of money. Martinez has the district by the throat. There is NO other "case" against Martinez; the allegations are just b.s. by an out-of-control board majority who represents the good old boy network. They need to be recalled or resign.

He wasn't fired, so what's his problem? He was put on leave (paid leave) until they can get rid of him. Now he wants to block them from discussing his many failures. Tells me there is something that he knows he messed up and he wants the public kept in the dark about.
