UPDATE: CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- News 4 has just spoken with Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong who has now confirmed the man in custody -- arrested in Carson City this morning for allegedly robbing a bank in Placer County -- did, in fact, rob the bank.
The bank robbery took place in Kings Beach; the name of the bank remains unknown. The suspect is a Carson City resident and the FBI is handling the case.
CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A man who is an FBI suspect of a bank robbery in Placer County was apprehended and taken into custody this morning in Carson City.
According to a Carson City Sheriff's deputy on scene, the bank robbery occurred this morning. The name of the bank and time of the robbery are unknown. The suspect was followed by the FBI to Carson City. After multiple agencies attempted to pull the suspect over, a small chase ensued, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. The suspect then parked in a parking lot on Fairview Dr. and Roop St. and attempted to escape on foot. He entered a store and attempted to blend in with customers but was found and taken into custody. Carson Sheriff's Office, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the FBI, and Nevada Highway Patrol were all on scene. He is being taken to the Carson City Jail.
