I called News 4 an hour ago to give them a helpful suggestion about replacing the "murder" headline with something more accurate and responsible journalistically. I spoke to an assignment editor named Justin and he didn't seem to think this was a big deal, judging by the hour that has gone by without a change to the headline and the condescending "thaaaaanks" he gave me as he hung up.

This headline is bogus . There was no murder. Read the Fresnobee or abc30.com

The homeowner was a drug dealer . Nobody was a hero.

Hey, News 4. I suggest you replace the headline for this article with "Police, deputies capture Fresno robbery suspect in Reno"...

The homeowner is a hero, not a murderer. There was no "murder". He defended his property, life and his girlfriend's life. Channel 4 needs to clean this headline up asap.

I dont think I would be "defending" anyone that was INVOLVED in a home invasion...period. I'm sure the police would love to hear from anyone out there that has information regarding the home invasion that happened over in Cali when the HOMEOWNER defended himself and his property from the two "men" that decided to break into his house. Too bad the homeowner had to resort to using a sword to defend himself....when the 2nd amendment clearly should allow him to own a gun.

Lol I know right! This is my cousin Kris and he did not murder anyone. The homeowner killed Kris's friend with a sword. Kris was not even a witness. He was out of the home when his friend was killed!!

Who's the knucklehead at channel 4 who wrote this headline? You're calling the homeowner a murderer and the robber a murder witness?
