Police find indoor marijuana grow operatiion in Reno

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- After responding to a report of a prowler on the 3600 block of Everett Street, police obtained a warrant to search a home smelling strongly of marijuana and found 2.7 pounds of marijuana, 11.5 ggw of psilocybin mushrooms, three firearms, and an active indoor marijuana grow on Feb. 19.

In all, detectives say they seized 26 marijuana plants (24.5 lbs.) in different stages of growth, several grow lights and electrical ballasts.

Thomas Maher, 20, was arrested for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
