Police identify juvenile stabbing victim

UPDATE - 2:39PM - Reno Police have identified deceased stabbing victim as 17-year-old Moises Betancourt.

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Police say they have identified who they believe stabbed and killed a juvenile during a large fight around 2:00 Sunday morning.

According to Lieutenant Mohammad Rafaqat, police responded to a fight near the Jack in the Box in the 5000 block of South McCarran Boulevard. Police say a juvenile was taken to Renown by friends and later died from a stab wound to the chest.

Rafaqat says dozens of people fled the scene when police arrived. He says the person they believe stabbed the juvenile has cooperated with police but has not been arrested.
