RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Police are investigating what they are calling a "freak accident" involving a man being run over by his friend's vehicle.

According to Reno Police Department, around 7pm Tuesday night, two men were in an SUV, when it started having mechanical issues. Police say they pulled into the Smith's parking lot on South Meadows Parkway to take a look. That's when police say the passenger got under the car and began working on it, while his friend stayed in the driver's seat.

For reasons unknown, the car moved forward, rolling over the man, causing serious injuries. He is expected to survive, but remains at a local hospital.

I knew a guy who changed his oil with the motor running; later he became a Moto Guzzi mechanic.
