Police pursue unlicensed car through Sparks, Reno

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A high-speed chase through Sparks and Reno has ended at the corner of Wells Avenue and Capitol Hill Avenue.

According to the Sparks Police Department, an unlicensed vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign in Sparks. When an officer tried to stop the vehicle, the vehicle fled. One person was seen jumping from the moving car, while other passengers started throwing trash out the window.

The chase entered Reno, traveled down Kietzke Lane to Vassar Street, then west to Wells. The car stopped near Capitol Hill Avenue.

What was the purpose of throwing trash out? Maybe they thought the Police would think it was drugs and stop chasing to investigate.....
