RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- New details emerged on Friday about a Reno man that was arrested Wednesday on charges of alleged animal cruelty after animal remains were found in his motel room. News 4 obtained the police report of 24-year-old Jason Brown's arrest.

The report states that between July 4 and July 8, Brown willfully tortured, maimed and killed several dogs and cats at the Super 8 motel in south Reno. It also lists what items were collected inside the motel room.

Brown is being accused of killing at least six dogs at his motel room. The police report obtained from the Reno Justice Court Friday has very graphic details. Four dog heads, seven dog legs, four dog or cat skins, and a dog ear were some of the remains collected inside Brown's motel room.

The report also states the suspect originally checked into the motel on June 27, and had the room paid through July 8. The report said after several days of Brown declining to get his room cleaned, employees of the motel decided to enter the room when Brown was gone and that is when they discovered what he had done.

Although police have not stated where the suspect got the dogs, the report said someone e-mailed police that Brown was killing unwanted dogs he obtained through Craigslist. News 4 spoke with the SPCA of Northern Nevada, who believes animals should never be listed on Craigslist, but instead be given to an animal shelter.

"If we have space available, we'll take animals here," said SPCA Executive Director Tom Jacobs. "The Nevada Humane Society will take animals over there. So you know, there are a lot of opportunities to do, rather than just give it away on Craigslist to somebody you don't have any idea if they are really going to care and take good care of that animal."

The report also said that Brown stated, "he would get angry and go into a rage and was capable of killing dogs."

Police also wrote that the suspect was in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Brown is currently being held in the Washoe County Jail and his bail has been set at $55,000. Police are also still investigating the case and anyone with information is asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.

Yes, that is him in the pictures on facebook hunting. his facebook page is still activated. hes had a thirst for blood and killing since he was a child. well, its over now and he was sentenced to 28 years in prison. overall im happy with the sentence. I knew Jason during his drug induced states and I still never imagined he was capable of this but I guess you never know what someone really does behind closed doors. and maybe there were no people in the rooms on either side of him. jason in his younger years at reno high and even after reno high was a trust fund baby, jock peice of crap. I just never imagined he was a psychopath too. Anyway, I don't care if he gets well. I hope that he sits in prison for the next 30 years and slips into an even worse psychosis so that he cannot even be released back into society and is forced to live in a mental asylum for the rest of his pathetic life... Looks like daddies money, and the cherried out hummer he drove and the truck and the hundreds of dollars he spent on heroin, meth and cocaine along with the hundreds that he blew at the strip clubs, wasnt enough....loser. Jason was always a cocky peice of crap. with no right. look at how sick he was.

Isn't he on FaceBook with hunting photos of ducks? He says "If it flies it dies". That sure looks like him.

Tell what while we go after this piece of crap as we should, lets look at the liberal joke judge that will handle this case and watch some jack off time in prison sentence. And then who is the real piece of crap.

This makes me so angry to read. He should never get out of jail. He reminds me of Jeffrey Dahmer. He needs to be skinned and have his limbs cut off.. Someone like that does not belong in society he needs to be locked up in a cage..

I'm just curious, how did no one hear that and complain about the noise? Wouldn't that be just the most awful noise in the world...and loud?!? I can't help but think some of those poor puppies could have been spared such a brutal fate.

1 thing you all have to realize is that most serial killers function in society as normal people. They have spouses, children, regular jobs. They are adept at hiding their other side and are difficult to catch. I'm not sold on mental help being able to prevent his urges from coming out. But his being locked up for a while will at least keep him from continuing on his current path for a time. Maybe, just maybe he'll grow past this stuff while doing time behind bars.

I knew this guy when I was in high school. I can't believe this insanity. I can't imagine what could have happened to him in the last 5 years that would change someone so much

This is very sad because I knew him growing up and he was a good kid actually. I don’t really understand how he could’ve changed to this. I know he got involved with drugs and I guess methamphetamine just destroys people like this but… Get well Jason please
