Police searching for two suspects in Reno shooting

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Police confirm they're looking for two suspects in connection with a shooting near the intersection of Yori and Grand Canyon in Reno. 

Seargant Sean Garlock says police received a call around 5 p.m. reporting a fight ending in gunfire. When officers arrived on scene they found a victim laying in the street with a single gunshot wound.

The victim has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. His identity has not been released.

Sgt. Garlock says the reason for the fight, and who started, it is unknown.

Neighbors tell News 4 they believe the shooting is gang-related. Police could not confirm but both Reno and Washoe County gang units were on scene.

Police are looking for two hispanic men in connection with the shooting. One is described as about 6 feet tall, wearing a black shirt and black pants. The other is described as about 5 feet tall with a smaller build and tattoos on his face and head.

Witnesses told police the suspects fled on foot heading south.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the shooting is asked to contact Secret Witness at 775-322-4900. Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects.
