SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Dr. James R. Tarwater, Superintendent of Lake Tahoe Unified School District, has informed News 4 of a power outage at the Lake Tahoe Environmental Science Magnet School in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Today at 10:15 a.m., Liberty Energy informed the District that the electrical power will be shut off at the school for the remainder of the day as they make emergency repairs.

Buses will run at the normal schedule at the end of the day, but parents are encouraged to pick up their children as soon as possible. There is enough emergency lighting inside the school and a cold lunch will be provided for kids who cannot be picked up. As phone service at the school is limited, please call the Lake Tahoe Unified School District at (530) 541-2850 for more information.
