RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A power outage Tuesday evening left nearly 7,000 area NV Energy customers without power.
The outage occurred after a brief thunderstorm. Power has since been restored to all customers.
According to NV Energy spokesperson Calder Chism, the Glendale substation took a lighting strike, which knocked out a few circuits. The power outage was reported at 5:07 p.m.
There is also two power outages near McCarran Boulevard and Prater Way in Sparks, affecting around 200 customers. There is no estimate for when power will be restored.
