UPDATE: 4:00PM - NV Energy reports all customers now have power.

UPDATE: 2:45PM - Karl Walquist of NV Energy says 200 customers are now without power. Crews planning on using alternate power lines from another substation to restore power to the 200 customers.

The substation at Round Hill is still out of service and they believe there may be a loose power line that is to blame for the power outage, but they haven’t been able to locate the loose power line.

Walquist says it's unknown when power will be fully restored.

UPDATE--10:20 a.m.

According to Karl Walquist with NV Energy, power has been restored to about half of the customers affected by the power outage.

Around 2,500 customers, mostly located in the Round Hill and Zephyr Cove areas, saw their power back on around 9 a.m. this morning, but most of the 2,500 customers are still without power in the Kingsbury Grave area.

Heavenly Ski Resort and downtown Stateline saw only a brief power outage and now power is back on in the areas.

NV Energy is still unsure of what caused the problem but are currently working on restoring power for the rest of the residential and business customers.

NV Energy is reporting a power outage in Stateline up to Cave Rock, including the Nevada side of Heavenly Ski Resort, affecting 5,000 customers.

The power outage began at 5:30 a.m. this morning, but is not affecting any casinos in the Stateline area. Faye Anderson with NV Energy says that they believe the problem stems from the Round Hill substation and that they have crews there currently working on the problem.

Anderson says they are unsure of what the problem is and are that it is unknown when they expect to restore power.
