SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- U.S. Forest Service fuels management crews resume prescribed fire operations in the Cold Creek area near South Lake Tahoe, beginning Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

Crews expect to burn approximately one-half an acre. Operations may continue through the week, weather and conditions permitting.

Residents and visitors can expect to see smoke from this prescribed fire project area. The Forest Service strives to minimize the impacts of smoke on local communities.
