RENO, Nev. (AP) — Residents and visitors to Lake Tahoe can expect to see some smoky skies the next couple of days on the north shore near Tahoe City, Calif.

U.S. Forest Service fuels management crews plan to resume prescribed fire operations Wednesday in the Bunker Road area on the mountainside northwest of Tahoe City Golf Course and state Highway 28.

The burning is scheduled to continue through Thursday. Smoke-sensitive residents should consider staying indoors and keeping doors, windows and outside vents closed.

The Forest Service will post updates on the local fire information line at (530) 543-2600, (hash)6.
