RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Timing is key to protecting your online passwords from the Heartbleed Bug sweeping the world.

Eexperts say you have to make sure the vulnerable website is fixed before you change your password. The Heartbleed Bug affects e-mail, instant messaging, online shopping, and even banking websites.

It is not a computer virus, but instead, a major flaw in a widely-used encryption software. It lets attackers grab information in small pieces of data as it is flowing through a server, and went undetected for two years.

There is a website you can visit where you can type in the URL of sites you use, and see how vulnerable they are to letting your information get stolen.
