RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Recently, suspicious solicitations using the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows have been reported.
The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows does not solicit donations door-to-door, nor does it solicit donations at storefront tables or kiosks.
The reports say the Boys & Girls Club was collecting donations for a “Second-Chance Basketball Program” for teens.
The Boys & Girls Club is asking the public to report to local police and Club administration any persons claiming to represent the Club in this way. Please call the City of Reno Police dispatch at 334-2121 or the City of Sparks Police dispatch at 353-2231. The Club administration can be reached at 331-KIDS (5437).
