RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Washoe County School District will hold a 10 a.m. news conference today to address Dr. Heath Morrison's job offer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District.
Reno, Nev (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education has extended an offer to Washoe County School District Superintendent Health Morrison.
According to a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District, contract negotiations are currently underway.
Dr. Morrison has been the superintendent at the Washoe County School District since 2009. He began his career in Maryland, working in Charles adn Montgomery counties, before taking the job in Reno.
Morrison, CMS administrator Ann Clark and Memphis City Schools leader Dr. Kirner Cash were finalists for the CMS job.
Pending contract negotiations, the CMS board will formally vote on Dr. Morrison’s selection at its regularly scheduled meeting April 24.
