MARLETTE LAKE, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Washoe County Sheriff's Office released video of this weekend's rescue of an injured paraglider above Marlette Lake.

The paraglider crashed in the rocky terrain above Marlette Lake Saturday evening. He called 911 saying he had broken both his legs and needed to be rescued.

Raven -- WCSO's helicopter -- volunteered to respond, and after spotting the injured man, lowered a rescuer to hoist him back up into the helicopter.

The victim was then taken to the former Ponderosa Ranch parking lot, where he was transferred to Careflight and taken to Renown Regional Medical Center to be treated for his broken legs and other injuries.
