RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Regional Transportation Commission stuffed a bus on Friday to give back to seniors in the community.

As part of Older Americans Month, the RTC held a Stuff-A-Bus drive for essential items for seniors. Organizers were looking for slippers, light sweaters, jackets, personal hygiene items and even gift cards.

The commission had one of its new electric buses parked in front of Aces Ballpark from 11 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Friday. "Sometimes when it is not the holidays, often times those most in need are forgotten," said RTC Board Member Neoma Jardon. "This is an opportunity for us to come together and serve and fill some of those needs during non-holiday time."

Everyone who donated received a free Aces ticket for a future game with the purchase of another ticket.
