RENO, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV) - With another Christmas in the books, it's time to start thinking about recycling your Christmas tree.

The Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful's tree recycling program will begin Thursday. You can drop off your Christmas tree at Bartley Ranch Regional Park, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, or Shadow Mountain Sports Complex in Sparks from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until January 12.

A $3 donation is asked to cover the cost of the program. The recycled trees are chipped into mulch, and used year-round for weed and erosion abatement projects in our area.
