Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- The Reno Bike Project hosted the 7th annual "We Heart Bikes Art Show," tonight, April 6th, 2013. The "We Heart Bikes Art Show," is a fundraiser for the Reno Bike Project, a non-profit community bicycle shop and advocacy group.
Artists enter their work and then a silent auction is held. Every piece of artwork submitted to the show shares the same theme, bikes.
Members of the organization say it's built around the belief that the bicycle is the world's greatest, most utilized mode of transportation and everyone should have access to one.
Kelly Peyton says, "They kind of make it so there's no excuses. Everybody can ride a bike, everybody can afford one."
Peyton also says, "I just like the idea of commuting. It feels so good to not have to get into your car and get a little bit of a workout."
Co-founder and Executive Director of the Reno Bike Project, Noah Silverman, as well as everyone involved, shares the same sentiment, " I just love to ride a bike. I love the freedom of not having to drive and being able to go anywhere."
