Reno Looking for Strong Armed Robbery Suspects

Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects wanted in connection with strong-arm robbery of a elderly female victim in the area of Wal-Mart parking lot 5260 W. 7th Street Reno, NV.


             According to Reno Police, yesterday morning at approximately 8:36 a.m. an 83 year old woman was walking to her vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot. As she neared her vehicle a male suspect sprinted toward her and grabbed her purse. The victim’s purse was strapped to her wrist which caused her to be knocked to the ground as the suspect stole it. The suspect was picked up in the parking lot in a maroon 4-door sedan immediately after the robbery. The vehicle sped off and was last seen heading south on McCarran Blvd. from the Wal-Mart parking lot. The loss is an undisclosed amount of cash and credit cards.

The robbery suspect is described as a light skinned male with a thin build, last seen wearing a cream colored puffy jacket with a hood lined with gray fur and dark pants. The suspect vehicle is described as a maroon 4-door sedan similar to a Honda. There is no description available of the driver. The 83 year old victim suffered some abrasions and a broken jaw as a result of the crime. A photo of the suspect vehicle is available from the Reno Police Department.
