RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Just after 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Reno Police were called to the 7-Eleven store on Peckham and Neil to a report of a robbery that had just occured.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the business had been robbed by a lone suspect, who had entered and simulated a handgun to the clerk. The male suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money and then fled south of the business. Reno Police believe that this robbery is not related to the robbery at the AM/PM store at 6190 South Virginia St.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5'7"-5'9" tall, 170-190 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white tab at the top of the hood, baggy blue jeans, and grey shoes.
The Reno Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information relating to this crime is asked to call Reno Police at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery.
