RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Reno Police have apprehended a man who barricaded himself into his apartment after an attempt to serve a warrant.
According to a press release, the Tennessee District Attorney's General Office contacted the Reno Police Department in March regarding a fugitive from their jurisdiction wanted for vehicular homicide. On Wednesday, detectives developed information that the defendant, 71-year-old William Wynn, was residing at 170 N. Sierra St. His identity was confirmed through photograph.
When detectives attempted to contact Wynn at approximately 2:30 p.m., he refused to open the door and made threats involving a firearm. SWAT and CINT were called in to assist. After about five hours, the defendant emerged from the room after about five hours and was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported and booked into the Washoe County Jail as a fugitive, where he will await extradition proceedings.

According to Reno Police, the man is barricaded into the Riverboat Hotel Apartments at 170 North Sierra Street.
