RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Police have arrested two for destruction of property and gross threats against a public official.
On Dec. 11, 2012, officers of the Regional Gang Unit arrested two 17-year-old juveniles, both local gang members, who were responsible for spraypainting the Reno Police south substation, a community service officer vehicle, and the Neil Road Recreation Center.
RGU had been investigating this gang for a number of violent offenses, which led to the identity of the graffiti suspects. The graffiti specifically depicted death threats against police officers. The graffiti occurred late Sunday night, according to RPD. The damage is estimated to be over $2,000.00.
The juveniles were charged with Gross Misdemeanor Destruction of Property – Graffiti, and Gross Misdemeanor Threats Against a Public Official. Additional arrests are possible.
