Reno Police searching for suspect in residental burglary

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Reno Police Department is currently investigating a report of a burglary and shots fired on 9th Street.

According to the Reno Police Department, a residential burglary happened in the 2500-block of E. 9th Street at around 9:30 p.m. The homeowner discovered an armed burglar in his house when he arrived at home. The homeowner and suspect wrestled over a gun, and then the homeowner pulled his gun and fired one shot at the suspect, who fled the scene.

No one was hurt.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, bald, and wearing a long sleeve blue shirt. If you have any information about this incident, please call the Reno Police Department.

Nice work by the homeowner! With any luck the armed burglar is slowly bleeding out in a ditch somewhere...
