RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- You can make a resolution to help save a life by donating blood to United Blood Services through Wednesday. It's the 28th Annual Reno Radio Blood Drive in the Paradise Ballroom and Terrace at the Atlantis Casino.

For giving the gift of life, every donor will receive two free tickets to the NBA Development Showcase and a free scoop of Atlantis' house-made gelato, among other prizes.

Steve Thomas, Donor Recruitment Director for United Blood Services, said they do need to rebuild their inventory in certain blood types. "Our inventories are in good shape, but we do need to rebuild certain blood types, especially the negative blood types. That's why we're encouraging people to come out and donate a pint of blood."

Blood donors must be 16 or older and in good health.
