RENO, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV) -- Although the start of the Reno Rodeo is less than a week away, the Reno Rodeo Cattle Drive is already gearing up.
The cattle drive starts just north of Reno, where more than 300 rodeo steers are driven from Doyle, California to the rodeo grounds in Reno. If you want to welcome the drivers into town on Thursday, the best place to be is the Salvation Army parking lot on the corner of Wells and Sutro between noon and 1 p.m.
Traffic will be affected around the Livestock Events Center. Specifically, Wells Ave. will be reduced to two lanes around the arena and northbound traffic on Wells will be diverted East at Ninth St. and north at Sutro.
These changes started Sunday, June 15 and will be in effect through Sunday, June 29.
