Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Reno Police, Santa Pub Crawl Organizers and many more are getting ready for tonight's big event.
From Candy Cane Lane to Reindeer Town...bars in downtown Reno are prepping for the thousands of Santa's that will pass through their doors tonight.
Business owners we spoke with say the Santa Pub Crawl is their biggest money maker all year long.
Special Events Program Manager, Alexis Hill, says she expects upwards of 13-thousand people to participate in this year's crawl, about three thousand more than last year.
With the large numbers expected tonight, law enforcement is ready with three Sergeants and 24 officers on duty in just the crawl corridors alone.
One of the biggest concerns during the crawl is underage drinking.
In 2011, 18 bars were caught serving alcohol to minors. some of those bars include Doc Holliday's, Pizza Reno and The BAR.
I spoke with bartenders at each of the those bars and they say they are more prepared than ever to make sure no one underage is drinking in their establishment.
It can be a chaotic night but, David Hurley, Beverage Manager at the Eldorado says they are completely prepared.
In the end, event organizers, law enforcement and bartenders alike just want it to be a fun and safe night.
