RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- An upcoming emergency drill on Thursday, May 29th will have Peckham Lane closed from 6 a.m. to noon.

The Reno Tahoe International Airport, in coordination with first responders and KRNV News 4, will conduct a full scale disaster drill at the south end of the airport property near Peckham Lane. It will be a realistic training exercise where nearly 100 volunteers will play the roles of victims in a commercial airliner crash.

The drill will give emergency agencies the opportunity to train to respond to an emergency of this kind, and members of our news team will also be practicing coverage of the breaking news.
