RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Reno-Tahoe International Airport has announced more flights to some major cities just in time for summer travel.

American Airlines is increasing service to Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Phoenix. The influx will add almost 500 seats a day to service. Airport spokesperson Brian Kulpin says it's great for the local economy.

It was a slow winter for the airport so they're hoping for a good summer, Kulpin says.

I wish Jet Blue was here with cheap direct flights to JFK. Southwest takes like 10 hrs with stops for a 5 hr flight.
