RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Operation Homefront Nevada will be distributing back packs and school supplies for military children in northern Nevada during 'Back to School Brigades.'
The nonprofit organization will be giving backpacks with school supplies to lower and mid-grade ranking military families this Saturday.
Operation Homefront is a nonprofit that leads more than 2,500 volunteers with nationwide presence who provide emergency and other financial assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors. They have provided assistance to thousands of military families since 2002.
The first Back to School Brigade will take place August 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the NAS Fallon Youth Center on 1001 Juniper Dr. in Fallon. The second brigade will be Saturday August 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Reno Armory on 682 E. Plumb Lane.
