RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- CBS Radio’s new all-sports radio network came to northern Nevada today as station KBZZ, broadcasting at 96.1 FM and 1270 AM, according to Americom Broadcasting.
The new station, which will be known simply as “CBS Sports Radio,” will carry the Don Geronimo Show, which originates from CBS’ all-sports station in Sacramento, from 6 to 10 a.m. on weekdays, followed by Jim Rome from 10 a.m. to noon; Reno favorite Panama from noon to 3 p.m., Chris Moore and Brian Jones from 3 to 7 p.m., and Scott Ferrall from 7 to 11 p.m. Early risers can catch Tiki Barber, Brandon Tierney and Dana Jacobson from 3 to 6 a.m.
The new CBS Sports Radio network offers around-the-clock programming and harnesses the resources of CBS to provide up-to-the-minute sports news. High-profile hosts such as Barber, Rome and Ferrall will be joined by other noted journalists and personalities, including Boomer Esiason, John Feinstein and Doug Gottlieb.
Americom Broadcasting said KBZZ will broadcast the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants baseball games and San Francisco 49ers football.
