CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A fast-moving snowstorm made for tricky driving across western Nevada on Thursday.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reports troopers responded to 22 traffic accidents during the morning commute. Most were fender benders and spinouts, though three involved minor injuries.

In the greater Reno area 15 accidents were reported, with most occurring in Pleasant Valley on I-580 near the Galena Creek Bridge.

Interstate 80 west of Reno heading into the Sierra was closed for several hours because of multiple spinouts.

The NHP says there were seven accidents in the Carson City and Douglas County areas.
